Stranger things

Finally I’ve started on the famous Netflix series “Stranger things”. A lot of people have told me that it’s well worth your time, and I must say… they are absolutely right.

So far I’m only 3 episodes in in season 1 – yes I know, I’m not a super binge watcher – and it’s really scary! Winona Ryder is back, fantastic, haven’t seen her since “Star Trek” I think (loved that movie!). Maybe it’s because of my age that I find that the series takes place in the 80’s is absolutely amazing. Stationary telephones, the hairstyles, the fact that the kids ride their bikes home from visiting their friends, they create their own games, walkie-talkies etc… love, love, love it!

So as mentioned I’m at the very beginning of the show and I can’t wait till tonight where I’ll continue the “Stranger things” ride…

To be continued…

Okay, I’ve finished the first two seasons and still absolutely love it! I’m amazed that it is possible to make a serie for adults about 12 year old girls’s and boys hunting monsters, with older siblings and the occasional parent and chief of police as sidekicks. It is 16+ rated on Netflix.

And for some reason I think I have a small crush on Hopper, not happy about the drinking though! The death of his daugther broke him, but it looks like he is starting to come around on the other side, when he asks Joyce out for dinner. He was so nervous and I love – I know it’s fiction – to see that it is important for them as well.

Well, back to the monsters. Dog-like creatures with a face that resembles a meateating flower with hundreds og teeth to devour there victims whether that is a deer in the woods or a human. It is filmed very dark and I haven’t been able to see if these creatures has eyes or they just feel their prey. Not that that is important, just wondering. The mother monster is a fog of dark matter showing itself to a selected few, not sure they appreciate the honour, and takes them to the up-side-down. If the real world is the picture, the up-side-down is the negative.

I like that the story is complex enough to be interesting, and easy enough to follow without breaking your brain on a Sunday afternoon. So much looking forward to season number 3, wonder what happens to poor Will in that season.

Finished season 3 and happy to see on IMDB that a season 4 will come in 2021!!!! Thank you 🙂

Finally a season where Will could catch a break, he still had the unfortunate to be able to feel the monster which never seem to disappear as much as they try and seemingly succeed … until next season that is. Quite happy though that every season finishes, I can get rather tired if the story just goes on and on and on Season after season without an end. This season introduces Max and her terrible vicious brother who terrorizes her. He takes over the role of Will as the servant of the monster in the real world. Eleven is again a main character against evil but also
